Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?
Absolutely not. I provide compassionate, non-discriminatory care to every client I serve. However, because of my specialized training, many women choose my practice specifically because they want to safely weave their Christian faith into their mental health journey.
What ages do you work with?
I typically work with women between the ages of 25 and 65. I don’t work with teens or children.
Do you only work with women?
My practice is exclusively dedicated to supporting women. Because my clinical training and expertise focus specifically on the unique mental health, hormonal, life-transition, and spiritual experiences of women, I limit my scope of practice to this population to ensure the highest quality of specialized care.
Do you provide couples counseling?
No. Couples counseling is a highly specialized treatment modality and is outside my scope of practice. However, I utilize a family systems perspective and offer my clients education and support as to how certain behaviors and responses impact the marriage system. By understanding the ‘dance’ you and your spouse have fallen into, you can gain the clarity and grace needed to change your own responses, creating a ripple effect of healing in your home.
Are there any conditions you do not treat?
Yes. To ensure you receive the safest and most effective care, I practice strictly within my clinical areas of expertise. Because my practice is entirely online, I am unable to treat conditions that require specialized, wrap-around, or in-person care such as:
- Active substance use or chemical dependency
- Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, etc.)
- Bipolar disorder
- Psychosis or schizophrenia spectrum disorders
- Active, severe suicidal ideation or psychiatric emergencies
If you are experiencing any of these concerns, I highly recommend seeking a local, multidisciplinary team or an in-person specialist who can provide the appropriate level of support.
